This blog post is taken from my Seminar Notes, and it’s about a man who told the evangelist that he was saved by his good looks.
When asked what he meant, he replied that Isaiah 45:22 (KJV) says “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”
And so, he looked unto the Lord and he was saved.
And not only did he look to God for salvation, but more specifically, he said that he looked to Jesus, and quoted Hebrews 12:2 (KJV), which says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.”
And finally, he said that he was still looking for Jesus to appear – and he quoted Titus 2:13 (KJV), which says, “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.”
And based on those 3 verses, I now understand what he meant when he said that he was saved by his good looks.
