This blog post is taken from my book Golden Nuggets, and it’s simply a reminder to envision yourself as an overcomer, and not as a victim.
You see, the underachievers of this world are experts at figuring out ways to rationalize failure.
They talk about their sore back, their lack of time, their age, their poor genetics, their bad luck, and their nasty boss.
Nobody wants to be around people who have “Victim Mentality,” and people who see themselves as “victims” make statements like:
“If only my spouse would…”
“I wasn’t born with…”
“I just don’t have the time to…”
“He makes me so mad when he…”
“I’ve never been able to…”
“It’s not my responsibility to…”
“There’s nothing I can do about it…”
and “That’s just the way I am.”
If you find yourself beginning to talk (or even feel) like a Victim, then stop and choose to take full responsibility for your actions and your life.
