Ask Questions

This blog post is taken from my book Golden Nuggets, and it’s a short thought that I when reading about Adam and Eve.

You see, after Adam and Eve had disobeyed God, they tried to hide from Him.

Isn’t that silly… trying to hide from God?

It might be silly, but sometimes, I think that we do the same thing.

I like the fact that God called out to Adam and said, “Where are you?”

God then asked Adam,“Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you to not eat?”

God knew what had happened, and yet, He “confronted” Adam by asking him questions.

The next time that I need to confront someone, I hope I remember to ask them questions in a skillful manner, because this seems like it’s a better way to communicate than to simply make statements.
