What is it you Focus on in Life?

Oscar Wilde once said… “There is only one class of people that thinks more about money than the rich,  and that is the poor.  In fact, the poor can think of nothing else.”

And what do the poor think about in regard to money?

They think about their lack of it.

And what do they experience?  They experience a lack of money.

Daniel Lapin says “Focus on service and wealth will follow.”

Another random thought concerning focus is that you

need to make sure you focus – your attention on the right things.

For example, being busy doesn’t equal being productive.

Focus on getting the right things done, not getting everything done.

And while you’re focused on accomplishing goals –

make sure you don’t forget to focus on the present – the here and now.

And realize that a major part of reaching goals is to enjoy the journey.

Quite often… the Journey is the Destination!

It’s been said that you’ve got to pay a price if you want to get Faster.

It’s been said that you’ve got to pay a price if you want to get Smarter.

It’s been said that you’ve got to pay a price if you want to get Stronger.

But don’t focus on “Paying the Price”.

Focus on

“Enjoying the Benefits” of getting Faster, Smarter, or Stronger… because those who “Pay the Greatest Price” are those who don’t get Faster – those who don’t get Smarter – those who don’t get Stronger.

And my last quote for this Golden Nugget comes from the famous psychologist Karl Menninger.

When he was asked how to treat depression

and despondency, he said that he would tell the person to

get out of the house, go to a poor section of town, and help someone.

He said, “To overcome discouragement,

don’t focus on yourself; get involved in the lives of other people.”

Isn’t that good advice?

He said, “To overcome discouragement,

don’t focus on yourself; get involved in the lives of other people.”

Of course, you’re probably involved in the lives of other people, because this is a characteristic of a Winner, and you are a winner, and given enough time, you WILL Win – Yes, you ARE a Winner.

End of quote.
