Take Full Responsibility

Never make excuses or blame anyone else for anything! Never say or even think, “That’s not my job!”, because this is the way that losers think. This is the way that losers talk, and you are not a loser!

Almost all blame is a waste of time. Human beings may not do a lot of things well, but we excel at making excuses. If you doubt this, take a survey of those who are locked up in prison, and you’ll find that the vast majority of them insist that they’re innocent!

About 3,000 years ago, King Solomon wrote that a man who refuses to admit his mistakes will never really be successful, but the man who confesses and forsakes his mistakes will get another chance.

Make it a habit to say to yourself, “I take full responsibility! I don’t blame others and I don’t make excuses!

If you’re in the habit of making excuses and if you are tired of making excuses, then start each day by saying, “I am responsible! I take full responsibility!

Start right now! From this point forward, take 100% responsibility! Don’t use your energy to blame, to criticize, or to accuse! Blaming others does not help to solve your problems!

Once you begin to take responsibility, you start moving closer to solutions and away from problems. Those who do not take responsibility become experts at blaming others and making excuses.

The most prominent feature of all fully mature, high-achieving human beings is their willingness to accept full responsibility for all aspects of their lives. Winners take complete responsibility for their actions and the outcomes.

Harry S. Truman, former President of the United States, was famous for saying, “The buck stops here.” Now that’s a good example of taking full responsibility!

Steven Brown says that there are basically two actions in life: performance and excuses. Make a decision as to which one you will accept from yourself.

And my final thought concerning making excuses is that losers have a whole list of excuses for why they failed, but winners, they don’t have any excuses, because they don’t consider failure to be an option. That’s right! Successful people have no excuses for failure. Therefore, successful people do not fail.

And with this in mind, I’m gonna guess that you don’t consider failure to be an option, because you are a winner, and given enough time, you WILL win! Yes, you ARE a winner!
