Setting and Accomplishing Goals – Part 5 of 5

This concludes my 5 part series on Setting and Accomplishing Goals Don’t let the media use your head for a septic tank! Be careful when it comes to what you read, what you listen to, and what you watch. Calamities, corruption and crime sell more newspapers and commercials than good news does. The average person finds comfort when they hear about other people’s troubles, and fear is a more compelling emotion than confidence to the person who doesn’t control his or her thoughts. If you wanna be successful, see to it that confidence is more compelling, more exciting, and more comforting to you than fear. Fill your mind with the things that are good and pure. Banish fear and don’t focus on all the negativity that fills the news. One more time, fill your mind with the things that are good and pure, for there is no other way to attain your goals. It’s been said that obstacles are those frightful things that you see, when you take your eyes off of your goals. Your Goals will affect your choices! Do you make choices based on immediate gratification or do you make your choices based on your long-term goals and vision? I believe that a person of average intelligence with clear goals will run circles around a genius who’s not sure of what he or she really wants. Brian Tracy says that people who have no goals, are doomed forever to work for people who do. And finally, Lou Holtz says, if you’re bored with life, if you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things, then you just don’t have enough goals. Let’s face it – without goals, time management is meaningless. And you’ve gotta set goals if you want to be successful, because the clearer you are about what you want, the easier it is to make it happen. It’s hard to hit a target that you can’t see, but it’s even harder to hit one that doesn’t exist. Of course, you know these things – and this is simply a reminder of things that you’re already working on, because winners have goals and they work on accomplishing them and you are a winner, and given enough time, you WILL Win – Yes, you ARE a Winner.
