Setting and Accomplishing Goals – Part 4 of 5

This is part 4 of 5, and I’m gonna continue sharing a bunch of random thoughts. I’m gonna start out by encouraging you to make it a goal to expand your vocabulary, and I’m thinking about expanding it in such a way that it raises you slightly above the crowd without losing the audience in words that are unfamiliar to them. You should be able to understand and use the words and terms encountered in your daily life, as well as prepare yourself by learning the vocabulary needed to bring you closer to your goals. Expand your vocabulary and you will expand your opportunities. My next thought concerning Setting and Accomplishing Goals is that the true measure of success is not what you’ve accomplished, but it’s revealed by looking at the obstacles that you had to overcome in order to achieve your goals. Zig Ziglar said… What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as who you become by achieving your goals. And Helen Keller said that the most pathetic person in the world, is someone who has sight but has no vision. I’d have to agree with her. I’m constantly amazed at the number of people who are simply floating through life with no goals, no purpose, and no vision. A young man or a young woman without a vision is a person without hope, so if you’re young, find a vision or a goal to pursue. On the other hand, an old man or an old woman without a dream is a person who’s already dead, so if you’re old, never stop dreaming. Once again, find a vision or a goal to pursue. And my last thought for this Golden Nugget is, that it’s been said that you must “pay the price” for achieving your goals, but the truth is, you don’t pay the price, you enjoy the benefits. You see, those who don’t set goals, they’re the ones who “pay the price”. So one more time, set goals, work to achieve them, and enjoy the benefits. I’m gonna guess that you set goals, that you work to achieve them, and that you focus on the benefits and not on paying the price… because this is what winners do, and you are a winner, and given enough time, you WILL Win – Yes, you ARE a Winner.
