Ray Kroc’s 3 Keys To Success – Opportunity

Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald’s, said there are three keys to success…

#1 – Being at the right place at the right time.

#2 – Knowing that you are there.

#3 – Taking action.

Most people don’t recognize opportunity when it presents itself, and many of those who do, fail to take action because they’re afraid of failing. In order to be Successful, you must realize that failure is an important part of the learning process, so don’t be afraid to fail. Say to yourself, “I’m not afraid to fail. I see opportunity where others see obstacles. I will win, because I am a winner!” When you open the door to a new opportunity, you’re gonna find problems. You’ve gotta get through the problems in order to enjoy the benefits that the opportunity has to offer. Most people would rather walk away from the opportunity than deal with and solve the problems. Be on the lookout for opportunities, and then, figure out how to “get in step with ‘em”. Warren Buffet says it’s not how hard you rock the boat. It’s how fast the stream is going. A couple of thoughts concerning this quote are, that first of all, you need to recognize that you can only control that which is “in your boat”. And 2nd – part of being successful has to do with recognizing opportunities and “going with the flow”. Whenever and wherever there have been opportunities – there has also been difficulties. Recorded History can pretty much be summed up as “Opportunity mixed with Difficulty.” Sometimes there was more Opportunity and less Difficulty. Sometimes there was more Difficulty and less Opportunity. But there has always been – Opportunity mixed with Difficulty! Watch for the opportunity – and don’t be afraid of the difficulty… because this is what winners do, they watch for opportunity, and you are a winner, and given enough time, you will win – yes, you are a winner!
