Prepare before Opportunity Knocks

You’ve got to “be prepared” in advance… because when an opportunity appears, it’s too late to prepare.

One way to be prepared is to work on personal development.

It’s been said that Working on Personal Development is like putting money in a Bank.

Louis Pasteur said…  “Chance favors the prepared mind.

And Seneca said…

“Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”

No matter how hard you work, if the opportunity isn’t “set up right” in the beginning, you might not be successful.

When taking on any type of challenge – starting a business, or organization or even a church, setting up things properly at the beginning could very well contribute more to the success of the venture than the actual work that’s accomplished.

I would like to amend the idea of being in the right place at the right time.

           There are many people

who were in the right place but didn’t know it.

                     You have to recognize when

the right place and the right time come together…

and then, you’ve got to take advantage of that opportunity.

There are plenty of opportunities out there.  You can’t sit back and wait.

Another saying that I really like goes like this… “He dug his well before he needed water.

In other words, I’m simply saying over and over and over that you’ve got to prepare Before the Opportunity presents itself.

Of course, you know this, and I’m going to guess that you work on Personal Development – even if the only thing that you do is listen to and/or watch these Golden Nuggets.

Yes, working on Personal Development is a characteristic of a Winner, and you are a winner, and given enough time, you will win – yes, you are a winner!

Hi, this is Don Howe, and the topic for this Golden Nugget is Opportunity, and this is part 4 of 5, and I’m basically sharing some random thoughts that I’ve written down over the years, and I’m gonna start off by talking about being prepared.

One way to be prepared is to work on personal development.

It’s been said that Working on Personal Development is like putting money in a Bank.

Louis Pasteur said…  “Chance favors the prepared mind.”
