“The books you read and the people you associate with will determine where you are in life five years from now.”
With this in mind, let me ask you… “Are you growing? Are you making progress in your life?”
An accurate measure of your progress doesn’t have anything to do with how you compare to your competition.
You see, you can be better than others but still be worse than you once were.
And just because others are even worse than you isn’t necessarily a reason to celebrate.
If you focus first and foremost on competing with yourself in the most relevant metrics of your business,
then, most likely, you’ll rise to the top in your chosen profession – but it won’t be because you were competing with others, it’ll be a byproduct of your own quest for continual self improvement.
As for the question that I asked at the beginning of this Golden Nugget –I’m gonna guess that you are growing and that you are making progress because this is what winners do, and you are a winner!
