How to Deal with Stress – Having a Positive Mindset

I wanna share with you part of an email that someone sent to me.

The subject of the email was “How to Deal with Stress”, and it talked about the need to lighten up.

Several of the “funny” things that were in the email were:

Always keep your words soft and sweet just in case you have to eat them.”

Always read stuff that will make you look good in case you die in the middle of it.

Since it’s the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

and

Never buy a car that you can’t push.

Now I realize that these were supposed to be cute, funny sayings, something to make me smile, but as far as I’m concerned they were simply negative programming that I didn’t allow to take up residence in my mind.

Hey, let’s face it, I smiled when I read “never buy a car that you can’t push”, but then I thought, “What’s the premise of ‘never buy a car that you can’t push’?”

Hey! Let me ask you this: Are you planning to have car difficulties? Are you planning to fail?

What’s the thought behind “since it’s the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late”?

Hey, I’m not gonna get eaten! How about you? Are you the victim or are you the victor?

You’ve gotta continually watch out, be on the alert, so you don’t let negativity creep into your life!

It’s been said that it’s the little foxes that spoil the vines. It’s the little things that compound over time and eventually become big things.

Having a negative mindset is deadly, so learn to recognize a negative mindset and do not allow yourself to have or to pass on anything that’ll cause you to have a negative mindset.

Let me wrap up this Golden Nugget by saying don’t listen to negative people. Don’t let them affect your attitude. Take a lesson from little children. When someone calls them names, they respond with, “I’m rubber. You’re glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you!”

Of course, I’m gonna guess that this is the type of attitude that you have, because this is the attitude of a winner, and you are a winner, and given enough time, you WILL win! Yes, you ARE a winner!
