Good Nutrition for a Better Life

 

         The topic for this Golden Nugget is Vitamins and Supplements… and I’m gonna start out by letting you know that I’m somewhat allergic to leather. I say somewhat, because if I sit on a chair with leather armrests for several days, then my elbows will break out in a rash.

The rash doesn’t seem to go away by itself, but if I rub cortisone cream on my elbows, then the rash will go away in about a week. This whole situation with my elbows got me to thinking that since cortisone cream can help the outside of my body, I wonder if there’s anything that can help the inside of my body – you know… the places that we can’t see… and through the years, I’ve read about the benefits of taking vitamins, the benefits of Juicing, the benefits of Aloe Vera, the benefits of Spirulina, the benefits of Barley Grass, and on and on and on.

Well, several years ago, I started taking vitamins – really good vitamins – on a regular basis, and I believe that I’m healthier today than I would’ve been if I hadn’t been taking the vitamins.

I also – on a very inconsistent basis – drink Carrot Juice, Celery Juice, Aloe Vera and smoothies containing Spirulina and Barley Grass.

I’m sharing this with you, because I believe that the food that we eat today has been modified to the point that it’s lost some of it’s nutritional value, and in order to function at optimal levels, we need to supplement our food with vitamins and other nutrients.

I feel like I’m pretty healthy today – but how would my life have been different if I’d have taken vitamins and some of these other things on a consistent basis for the last 30 or 40 years?

Well I can’t go back and re-live those years, but some of you listening to and/or watching these Golden Nuggets ARE in your 20s or your 30s or your 40s, and I’m tryin’ to share some wisdom with ya.

This isn’t only for you. 

Some of you have children who are totally dependent on you when it comes to what they eat – and whether or not they take vitamins or other healthy supplements.

And my encouragement to you is to do your research.  Make sure that you and anyone who’s dependent on you – is getting really good nutrition.

Don’t put this off.

Don’t look back 5 or 10 years from now and regret the choices you’ve made when it comes to vitamins, supplements and eating for health.

Treat your body with respect, because this is what winners do and you are a winner, and given enough time, you WILL Win – Yes, you ARE a Winner.
