In the story of David and Goliath, Goliath lied to the Israelites on a daily basis, and as a result, they began to believe what he was saying. We know that Goliath was lying, because he told the Israelite army that the Philistines would become their slaves if someone was able to kill him. However, when David killed Goliath, the Philistines ran away and they didn’t become slaves to the Israelites. Two of my observations are… #1 – When you’re facing a Giant-Sized Problem you tend to lose sight of reality and as a result, you might end up believing things that just aren’t true. And #2 – If you allow negative influences into, your life on a consistent basis, then eventually, you’ll begin to believe what they say – even if it’s an Outright Lie. Goliath challenged the Israelites 2 times each day for 40 days, so the Israelites were confronted with the same problem at least 80 times. How many times do you confront the same problem before dealing with it? Winners face their problems and they deal with ’em, while losers tend to ignore problems… and problems that aren’t dealt with almost always get worse. Some people experience the same problem three or more times. The first time they experience it is when they worry about the problem. They experience it a second time when it actually occurs. And they experience it again and again as they keep reliving it! When it comes to problems, don’t worry, don’t procrastinate, and once you deal with a problem, don’t relive it. Of course, this is how I expect you to deal with problems because this is how winners deal with ’em and you are a winner!
