What’s the difference between a problem and a fact of life? Well, a problem is something you can fix, while a fact of life is something that you can’t fix. And you’ve gotta know the difference between a problem and a fact of life, because if you don’t know the difference, then you just might find yourself wasting time trying to “fix” facts of life. According to I Corinthians, the stories in the Old Testament are full of lessons that were recorded to give us insight and help us solve the problems that we encounter. The story of “David and Goliath” tells us that the Philistines had gathered their armies for battle and they were camped on land that belonged to Judah. This is a good reminder that you don’t need to go looking for trouble, because trouble’s gonna find you and you’re gonna have problems. The only people who are surprised when problems pop up are those who are simple-minded and naive. Everyone has problems, and today, you might be facing a problem that seems like it’s too big to handle… but the Size of the Problem is never the Real Problem! The Real Problem is the Size of your Capacity to handle the problem, so keep growing, and keep expanding your capacity to handle problems.
